I ordered this pad because I needed some good, cheap tracing paper. I figured the Strathmore brand was reliable, and the price was lower than local craft shops’ cheapest pads.

Well, when the pad arrived, I was amazed. The quality is very good… far better than the cheap pads at local shops, and a heavier weight than I’d expected.

If you’re transferring images, I’m not sure a single sheet would hold up to, say, five or six repeated uses. But for single- or short-term use, this tracing paper is more than adequate.

I’m very pleased and would order this again.

The tracing pad arrived today and there are a series of creases running vertically down the sheets. The creases are on ALL 50 sheets. I read several reviews with similar issues but decided to take a chance on most of the sheet being okay. My mistake. I think that Amazon should read the reviews on this product and either pull it from their offerings or remove the vendor from their site. I’m leaving on a trip in the morning or I would return the pad. I’ll toss it in the trash instead and purchase another from a retail store. I will not ever order this product from Amazon again.

What would be the equivalent gsm weight
Answer: There are 3.7625 grams per 1lb paper weight… so 25*3.7625= 94.0625gsm. Here is a link I got the comparison from. http://www.paper-paper.com/weight.html

Will this allow sharpie bleed through?
Answer: No it actually works really great with any kind of pen or marker. Nothing has managed to bleed through.

Will this paper tear easily
Answer: I haven’t had trouble with it tearing, it needs to be carefully cut, if you want to do that. Hope this helps. It is good solid paper.

Is this paper recyclable?
Answer: It should be since it is a paper. It was a gift so I can??t look for the recycle mark. But it is not wax coated. So it should be?

Can this paper be used to trace an image and transfer to artist canvas?
Answer: I do not care for this paper. It is more frosted so harder to see through. Sorry that is my opinion.
