Update: 1/25/21 – My last order the paper is a little smoother and lighter weight.

Update: Reordered 8/25/20- This time it didn’t get stuffed in the mailbox… who knew you just had to order with something else. Nicely packed in box.

This is the larger book and very nice. It has the soft vinal covering. My daughter is having a fun time drawing. Just a note for some reason the listing said it was delivered when it wasn’t. If you look up in the tracking it was to be delivered the next day. So you will want to watch out for that.

Also, make a note to deliver to front door otherwise it will get put in the mailbox. Which ruins the book for a few days since it is bent and you have to get the vinal and pages to settle back down.

Top Critical Review

The paper quality is moderate, what you’d expect for 5 bucks. However the spiral for this sketchbook, and other sketchbooks from this brand, are absolutely terrible. I understand that they are structured so you can remove pages but you cannot flip a page all the way around, you cannot tuck the pages behind each other the way you can with a normal spiral sketchbook, there is an entire centimeter gap between the open and the close of the spirals. It is entirely unworkable, and with the pages already being perforated, there is quite literally no reason whatsoever for the spiral to function like that. As an artist, this is unbelievably irritating to work with because I quite literally cannot leave my house with it, and I like drawing out in the woods.

I am seeing a lot of people say that this is not 9×12 but is 9×6. What is the correct size?

There are 2 sizes available for this item, 9×6 and 12×9. The default size on Amazon is 9×6. It’s possible some people didn’t change to the 12×9 size when ordering or maybe there’s an issue with these items numbering at Amazon resulting in the wrong size being sent. I, however, didn’t have any issues.

How many pages is it?
Answer: 75 sheets per book.

Is the cover textured?
Answer: Thank you for the inquiry! The cover is made with black poly and it does have a very subtle texture.
