This white craft paper was perfect for wrapping snowmen Santas for our grandkids’ Christmas gifts!
Top Critical Review
So I always wrap my gifts in brown paper – typically with folded edges and secured by hot-glue. Very neat looking. This paper is a great value for the quantity, and it has both a smooth side and a coarse side to it. I’m pretty happy with the paper itself, at least in terms of appearance; there is nice contrast between to the two surfaces and the coarse side has that traditional brown-paper feel to it.
It isn’t all that durable; it is okay, better than a lot of brown papers, but I found that it tore near the edge if you tried to make it too taut around corners. I’m also not a fan of the weight – it isn’t a very hefty paper, considerably below what you would find in a supermarket paper bag, for example – and it could stand to be a little stiffer as well. It is not a premium brown paper is what I’m saying.
Nevertheless, it is pretty good, and if all you are looking for is a solid, general-use brown wrapping paper, then this will suit your purposes just fine.
Customer Questions & Answers
would this work to wrap acrylic painted canvases for moving?
Answer: I wrapped Snow Man Christmas presents this past year in this paper. I would think that is it sturdy enough to wrap painted canvases in, but if there is any glass, I say NO. It is good strong solid paper.
Would this paper be good for marking clothes patterns with a colored pen & then cut out?
Answer: Yes! It is about the weight and feel of traditional tag oak. I’ve a degree in apparel design and have used this paper for sloper design and garment design. I use skirt hangers to hang the heavy patterns in my workroom closet. Hope this helped.
Can this paper be recycled and/or composted after use?
Answer: Yes it is recyclable paper.
