I installed it for our porch light. I have many other plug controllers for the Kasa app on the iPhone and this works just as easily. Easy to program and setup. Easy to install if you know even basic electrical wiring. The app allows you to easily set the schedule to ON at Sunset and OFF at Sunrise, or set to any time schedule you want. I have mine come on a sunset and turn off at midnight.

Just a heads up, if you have a much older house, do make sure you have a ground and not just a ground to a metal outlet box. You should have 3 wires coming out of the romex sleeve that is entering/exiting the box.

This smart switch worked great for 2.5 years, but now the lights won’t turn off! Now I’m stuck with our kitchen/living room lights on all night because if I cut the power it will screw up all sorts of other things. No amount of restarting/reinstalling is working. It’s 2 am and I’m going crazy.

can it work on two-pole switch as long as the other switch is always on?
Answer:

Not likely. You can try it and possibly burn it up due to doubling the rated voltage of the switch.

A two pole switch may be connected to one or two hots, 110 or 220 volts (120/240).

If the 2P switch is connected to two hots, it has 220 volts to it. If the 2 pole switch is connected to the same hot, 110 volts, the??

Can this be controlled by Apple Homekit?
Answer: No apple homekit, but You can create a shortcut on your iPhone and control it with Siri or from apple native Shortcuts app. You can even add On of Off icons on your iPhone screen to control the switch.

Is this also a dimmer?
Answer: I am actually looking at the product page for the new TP-Link dimmer H220. This is a DIMMER! Apparently, Amazon mixes the questions and product reviews for all TP-Link products. So finding your answer is about searching. Some responders are talking about 3-way and 4-way setups. The dimmer H220 is only for single-pole setups.

Does it come in ivory?
Answer: I do not believe so.

Yo traje a Paraguay, Latinoamerica y aqui es 220v. Te aseguro que este(HS200) funciona para 220v y 110v. Pero si queres asegurar podes buscar en la pag oficial de TPlink, en la parte de preguntas frecuentes/informaci??n extra y hay una tabla que indica los voltajes soportados por los distintos modelos. O enviar un corre??
