Top Positive Review

This is my go-to paper for art prints. The colors are so vibrant, they have an almost water-colory feel to them. The first time I printed on this paper I thought “I didn’t know I could draw like this.” My picture doesn’t do the colors justice – this is truly fantastic paper!

We use Epson Premium Presentation Paper MATTE for double-sided printing for our printing projects involving photos. Excellent product. However, when we ordered it last month my husband decided to order the 100 sheet pack of two-sided print paper because he planned on making family calendars for Christmas. The site shows that the 50 sheet pack was $9.97 and the 100 sheet pack was only $13.19 for presumedly the same paper ( at the same site ), so for a few dollars more it made sense to order the larger amount. Great. We printed 4 calendars (48 sheets) and spent hours choosing the best photos for the family members receiving the calendars. After the calendar side was printed he began putting the calendars back through the printer to print photos on the reverse side. The first two photos printed were terrible! He thought something was wrong with the printer, etc. Nope! To keep from going on ad nauseam, when clicking on the $13.19 one hundred sheet pack the tiny product code number changes from S041568 (50 sheets) two-sided paper to S042180 (100 sheets) ONE-SIDED PAPER! This was noted when we went back to the site to see why we received the wrong paper. Kind of like bate-and -switch operation. The packages for the 50 and 100 sheets look identical until you flip them over and read the small product code number on the upper right-hand corner of the opening flap. Now my husband is scrambling to get the calendars printed on time for Christmas and ordered another pack of 50 sheets of Epson double-sided paper (also paying extra shipping to get here today). Meanwhile, we have wasted all together 53 sheets of very expensive paper because we can’t use the reverse side for printing. We would like to be compensated for the paper that was sent to us by a misrepresented product site, but that hardly makes up for the time, effort and expense we have incurred. Please Amazon, take a look at that item site and correct it!

Customer Questions & Answers

Why does this say the color is black? Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance.
Answer: I believe it means the packaging. I really don’t know, but the paper is bright white.

Is this double sided paper or single sided?
Answer:

Look carefully at the description – I’ve discovered that if you order 50 pages, you’ll receive the double-sided. If you order the 100 page quantity, the description changes, and you’ll get single sided paper – hence the discrepancies in the reviews. I’m sending back my 100 pages, even through I used 3 pages in this d??

how thick is this paper?
Answer: It is 48 lbs. as compared to my HP Ultra White which is 20 lbs. It depends on what you are using the paper for. I make my own greeting cards and I use Hallmark paper which is 85 lb. card stock. It depends what you want to do with the paper. For everyday use I use the HP paper or what ever is on sale. Hope this helps.

Anyone use this paper in a Canon Pixima printer with good results for photos? What settings did you use?
Answer:

The Canon Pixma printers are built to be considered an extremely sensitive printer. I personally have the Pro9500. The quality of the pictures are superb, even when using the less expensive Canon paper. However, saying that, when I run my cleaning process once a week, I use standard Costco printer paper, which is typic??

Would this paper work to be printed double sided for thank you cards?
Answer: I have never printed this paper double sided. I do print on the back side of this paper but not automatically. After I print the first side, I take it and run it back through for the second side.
